The Maine State Aerie was organized in 1948. We currently have 14 Aeries with a total of 8,000+ members.

We believe strongly in the"People Helping People" motto and raise funds for many charities and for our communities.

For our visitors that are not familiar with the State of Maine on this page you
will find some interesting facts about our wonderful state.

Maine is approximately 320 miles long and 210 miles wide
with about 33,215 square miles.

And our approximately 17 million acres of forest land
We have over 2,000 Coastal Islands

and 436,064 acres of state
and national parks
that have many types
of natural wildlife
We also have 60 lighthouses

4th in production nationally

Maine raises 90% of the
low-bush blueberries
in North America
and is nationally known for the fine taste, texture and fresh color of its seafood
